Alexandra Hotel - London

Amazing place with free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and easy luggage storage. On my first stay, the staff gave the best local taxi tip. I highly recommend it and will be back for Christmas.

Fantastic location with a subway station close to the hotel. Fine food in the restaurants such as Wasabi Bento & Sushi, located 5 min away. Brand-new single room, lovely beds. Clean bathroom and a bath with good sewerage.

The room was neat and functional with central heating, multi-channel TV and coffee/tea making facilities.

Cheerful and comfortable hotel located in a good area really close to supermarkets, two underground stations and Paddington railway station. Excellent bedroom. Well-equipped bathroom with bathtubs. Great location right next to Sussex Gardens Open Space.

The room was well-equipped and brand-new with a comfy bed and free Wi-Fi. The clean bathroom with a shower, hair dryers and bath sheets👍

The staff we all very lovely and helpful

Very convenient for those arriving in London via Paddington station. Easy to get to tourist places from this location. Lots of amenities nearby - restaurants, souvenir shops, mainline trains and underground, only a couple of blocks from Kensington Gardens.

Breakfast disappointing. No cooked breakfast, but even the cold one could have been improved quite easily, and relatively inexpensively from the hotel's point of view, by providing whole wheat as well as white toast, and perhaps real cheese instead of processed slices. There was sufficient quantity, however. In the rooms it would have been nice to have a bathmat, and a hook to hang clothes or towel while showering.

Location. Staff helpful. We were able to leave our bags for several hours after checkout while we went out before leaving the city.

Room small, dark. Television wouldn't turn on without staff help (!). And the bathroom was approximately the size of an aeroplane washroom with an equally small shower added. Breakfast disappointing - could have been improved easily by the inclusion of whole wheat toast and real cheese or some fresh fruit. View out window was walls and plumbing pipes from what were probably similarly tiny rooms. Too expensive for what we got.

there was some noise from other rooms (thin walls), and some noise from the rebuilding of the hotel.

Excellent location - very reasonably priced - not luxurious but clean and comfortable.

I've stayed 3 times at the Alexandra Hotel but the 3rd time was the best, perhaps because we had a master bedroom which was superior to the previous times. The receptionist (a European don't know his name) was excellent and has a good memory. Overall I would stay again as it is a reasonable hotel in a very good location for travelling around London and near Paddington which has excellent train connections.

Previous times the first room was not satisfactory, bathroom very poor (this was initially booked by the airline I was travelling with and I upgraded the room when I booked additional days.

Easy access (24 hour reception), great location and comfortable room. Didn't hear noise from other rooms. Fresh towels every day.

The breakfast ends too early, we didn't make it there at all.

Small and not cleaned rooms

The hotel was nothing like we expected, the room we were given looked nothing like we had seen on the bookins site... It was very dirty,noisy and lack of heating made it a very cold and uncomfortable stay!... Really bad value for money!!!
